Hurst meadow

Matt’s personal favorite local stretches of the Thame, set in the historic town of Dorchester On Thames tucked away in the picturesque setting of the Hurst Meadow.

The stretch concludes of several beats including a weir. An idyllic water for trotting a stick down the gravel runs for dace, roach, perch & chub. Later on in the season when the river is high fishing for chub on the feeder is at it’s best with chub of 6lbs coming out quite often and if that isn’t enough a barbel may come along and take you and your rod rest by surprise!
